Laurence Marks

Laurence’s career in Simulation began in the mid 1980s when he completed an apprenticeship and graduate training at the Ministry of Defence. Since then, Laurence has undertaken research work in biomechanics, specifically bone healing and remodelling in patient specific studies, as part of a group at Oxford University, with whom he continues to collaborate.  Numerous papers on this research have been published.

Laurence has a specific interest in fluid structural interaction, from both technical and commercial perspectives. Previously the Managing Director of SSA, Laurence now leads the simulation group at TECHNIA UK.
